My 1.9L 2005 Jetta TDI is on its 5th tensioner pulley. Every 6 mos it begins to squeal when there's a load placed on it. Mainly when turning the steering wheel. Each new tensioner is an authentic VW part (not aftermarket) and it keeps reoccurring. The belt has also been replaced. My mechanic is baffled. His mechanic buddy's are baffled as well. The shop manager at the dealership is also baffled. I need help.
Update from Jun 17, 2015: Found out the issue was the Alternator pulley. The alternator has a clutch type pulley which was making the main tensioner pulley fail. We changed the alternator clutch pulley and presto...PROBLEM SOLVED!
