The contact owns a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta. While driving at various speeds, the contact heard noises within the vehicle was idling. When driving, he noticed that the transmission was not shifting properly. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the dual mass fly wheel was repaired. The contact referenced recall 09V164000 (power train: Driveline: Driveshaft) as related to the failure he experienced. The current mileage was approximately 68,000. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
