We have had this problem with the wipers not working on the driver side and have replaced the wiper several times with no results. We took it to the dealership and they are not looking at this being a problem. I think that the windshield is defective and causes the wiper to not work correctly and is now scratching the windshield.

I think that this is now a safety issue.
