Got a 2008 used Volkswagen Jetts TDI in August 2015 and the check engine light suddenly came on one day. Drove it for 2 days and then one day while on the main busy road, the car suddenly stopped with "Engine Problem, Garage". Got it towed to the nearest Volkswagen service center and it has been there ever since. They said it is probably a ECM problem and will require a new ECM. But then they were not showing any guaranteed signs of reliability to this fix. They have ever since been trying to locate the problem and every time I hear a new error story. Nothing that they are sure off. Most pathetic car in terms of identifying a permanent solution to a problem. Awful Volkswagen and I swear never to buy Volkswagen again.
