The headliner adhesive for the vehicle has come unglued and is causing the fabric to sag and prevent a clear line of sight. This is a latent safety defect. From a reasonable search on the internet it appears that many Jetta owners have had the same issue, indicating a common manufacturing issue. The adhesive that was used is the same as the adhesive used on the remainder of the interior panels which are also coming off.

Debris works its way past the shield at the bottom of the windshield, clogs up the drain holes in the fender and overflows into the heater box. It than leaks into the car and causes the windows to fog up to the point where you can not see out the windows while driving. The problem will occur when the vehicle is moving or standing still

I have 2009 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 and I have problems with my cars. 1) all my lights, except for the left side of headlight, are not working. All the lights went out at the same time. I changed the bulbs but still do not work. 2) since lights started to not work, I get seat belt warning signs and alarms even if I am wearing the seatbelts. 3) when I try to wash my front window with the wipers, window washier(liquid) would not come out.
