Last year, my ABS module had to be replaced under the recall campaign. At the time there was nothing wrong with the brake pump or else they wouldn't have been able to replace the module. Now, approximately one year later, the ABS light is on again and the dealer is telling me that its not the recall related module, but the hydraulic pump causing the problem and it will be $2300 to repair. It seems that VW has had huge problems with the ABS in this car. I called VW of America to get some assistance with this and was denied. This is my 8th VW over the last 30 years and I WAS a VW loyalist, but no more.
