Jetta 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

Just had a bunch of work (maintenance and brake work) done on the car and about a month later pulled out of my driveway and heard what sounded like Metal hitting metal. Took it to the dealer and they say its the Coil Spring on the passenger side. This car is NOT beaten on, but quite the opposite taken care of very well....Trying to figure out how this could have happened and if there is any recalls or support out there for this type of issue. That is not a normal problem from what I am hearing which is very concerning to me.

Jetta Comfortline 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 59,030 miles

The car is not 4 years old yet and does not have an excessive amount k's on it. The right front spring has broken at the bottom of the spring. I am grateful it did not happen while I was driving. It has not been repaired as of yet, I am going to drop by the dealer to see if there is any possibility of a good will repair. This is a leased vehicle and is due to be returned the middle of April of this year.

Update from Mar 7, 2016: I went to the dealership where the car was leased from and they were of no help. I am on my own.
