This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Volkswagen dealer.
The car started to stutter while in drive and we pulled over to a parking lot. Simultaneously the lights on the dash were giving errors. After I stopped the car, I turned it off and that was the last time it would start. Tow truck took it to the dealers and am still waiting for the fix. The dealership called me up and said it was the Diesel Fuel Pump and no time frame. Brand new car, this sucks!

VW knows they have a problem with their TDI high pressure fuel pump. They even gave an extended warranty on the 2009 to 2012 VW TDI vehicles. Now they did not correct the problem for future vehicles. I called and tried to get help with my 2013 VW TDI fuel pump failure. All the could tell me is that it was not covered under the warranty. They did not know why the 2013 was not covered. I was told that it is a $5,000 to $7,000 repair, and to keep my receipt and if enough people with 2013 models complain about it than the extension might be extended to include the 2013. To me if you recognize you have a problem you should make it right. If you do not make it right.
