Although I am not sure if this issue originates from the same place as the stalling while driving, I have had SEVERAL incidents where my car refuses to start. I will press the button to start the vehicle and it will make loud electrical noises, the dash board flickering wildly as it is trying to start, but can't. When I leave it alone for a few minutes, it then decides to start.

This incident was just the latest iteration of this issue. Although I did not bring the car to VW each time, whenever I did they said the same line that they gave me when my car stalled, "Could not verify customer concern at this time. No repairs performed." I am beyond bewildered with VW's treatment of the issues on my vehicle. I have had the car stall on me twice while driving.

I have taken it to three different VW dealers to no avail. There is never a fix or an answer as to what has caused these incidents, and I am afraid of what may happen next. This latest issue is not the battery either, because the battery had been replaced and was brand new. PLEASE SHARE if you have had similar issues with your VW Jetta- (stalling while driving/failure to start engine). Together, we can get something done!

This is my second Jetta TDI. I had zero issues with my 2010 model, so when the lease was up, I didn't hesitate to get into a 2014 model. Huge mistake! They have really compromised on the quality. The car starts when it wants to, the rattling, especially at highway speeds is incessant, the sunroof closes when it wants to, the brake rotors have rusted and the interior is very uncomfortable. To top it off, there has been multiple recalls and VW will not provide a replacement vehicle nor cover the cost of a rental. Will NEVER buy VW again. They have even turned me off Audi.
