My third wheel speed sensor replacement. Car is five years old with only 28,000 miles. It is still intermittent but the dealer read the code when all the lights came back on the day after they replaced my second and they said it's on the third wheel, different from each of the previous so not covered under any warranty. At $800 each this is getting expensive for a very low mileage car. German engineering at it's best. VW should really consider making this a recall as I'm sure they are losing good loyal customers like myself.

Second wheel speed sensor failure on this car. Yes the car is five years old, so out of it's 3/36,000 warranty but it now has only 28,000 miles, 22,000 for the last one. The day after I had this one fixed the third failed. Volkswagen corporate is refusing to help with this issue. Word of mouth from actual owners can be the best or worst advertisement for a company.
Just yesterday I had someone admiring my car and said they were thinking of buying a GTI in the same color. I told them I used to love it and that it was my third Jetta but it will be me last. I told them to google Volkswagen wheel speed sensor and see all of the issues that come up.
VW has dropped the ball yet again and when I'm ready to get out of it I'll be buying a Kia that comes with more options and a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. I'm sure I'll be posting a 4th issue here soon.
