Jetta S 1.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50 miles

The car has been taken to the dealer twice for the obnoxious scraping noise sound that is exaggerated when the car is id Drive or ECO mode. The dealer refused to acknowledge this obvious noise. Complained to VW corporate who refuse to acknowledge this as a problem. More than likely the car will be added to a lawsuit for consumer complaints.

Update from Aug 31, 2020: Dealer continues to be oblivious to burrrr sound that the transmission makes. Happens when light acceleration around 25MPH. We even down loaded a video from Utube that makes the exact sound. VW continues to ignore this sound and states everything is normal. VW dealers continue to lie about the sound and say everything is normal.

Update from Oct 25, 2020: Contact to VW Corporate. They are not willing to assist in fixing the scraping noise from transmission. Given a run around by two VW dealerships stating that the noise does not exist.

Update from Jun 11, 2021: 15000 miles on car. Remains with Scraping noise shifting.

Update from Jun 11, 2021: 15000 miles same. Scraping noise.
