Car is 5 years old, 66K miles, mostly garage-kept. I am not a big man (5'7", 168#) nor do I abuse the car - it's always cleaned per manufacturer's instructions. I noticed in the newer models they have done away with the perforated side panel, probably to address this poor choice of materials.
