Firstly, the rear RH door would not open when the central locking was operated. The "button" on the inside could be pulled up & the door could be opened from either the inside or out as normal but it would not lock when the central locking was operated using the
Blipper. To lock it, the button had to be pushed down manually.
A few days later the other rear door would not open but this time the button would not pull up, it wanted to stay down so the door could not be opened.
I checked the manual that came with the car & tried all the tests suggested using the key in the locks , front doors & the trunk lid but to no avail. I then read that if the rear doors don't operate properly then there is a fault with the central locking system. We drove 350 miles yesterday with the doors locked using the hijack switch on the drivers' door & on reaching home the door that wouldn't open , miraculously had released iself & could be opened but it would not lock using the Blipper. The car has been used today & the situation is that both rear doors need to be locked & unlocked manually. Any ideas? We live on the seafront so corrosion can be a problem, although the car looks in excellent condition. I look forward to your comments. Thankyou.
