Passat 2.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 122,713 miles

After having a hole in my exhaust another noise started to occur closer to the engine. I would describe this sound as a ticking sound that is constantly ticking. I am told it could possibly be the cam censor, or a gasket but I am not completely sure.

Passat 2.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 115,000 miles

Ever since I got the car in January 2012 the check engine light has been on. The dealer claimed that the o2 censor needed replaced because the wires had been frayed on the muffler.

Update from Aug 2, 2013: I now need to replace both o2 censors

For the past year I have had my car in the shop on average of every two months for one repair or another. I get the car back, and within 24 hours the engine light comes back on.
