The contact owns a 2001 Volkswagen Passat. While driving approximately 70 mph, the contact heard a creaking noise coming from the suspension. The contact stated the rear suspension control arms were wearing out prematurely. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
