Passat 1.8t

  • Automatic transmission
  • 108,000 miles

The information display part in the center can only be read either when it's really cold or at night. It still lights up the words, but the back light doesn't come on during the day or after driving it for very long.

Usually you can only read the part that displays your mileage, etc and part of the gear indicator.

Passat GLS 1.8T

  • Manual transmission
  • 147,500 miles

I have done some research on this issue..looks like I need to replace the CCM. BUT I can't even find where it is. I've tried to troubleshoot it myself, but no luck. I really don't want to take it to the expensive shop!

Now, this past week not only are my dash lights out..now my car is flashing an airbag fault....this car is starting to nickel and dime me!
