What is that ticking noise?? It only happens when I turn. Add that to the list of what is wrong with this car VW? I know I have to schedule a visit to Big Apple VW soon. But naively, I think I have time because its a small sound (ignorance is not bliss nor is it a good defense). I have to wonder if this new ticking sound has anything to do with the fact that every so often, the steering wheel shakes so hard that my keys jingle in the lock. So, as I'm getting off Exit 16, Harriman, my car starts to shake violently and make the most awful noises. I think, I must have a flat tire but how did I get a flat on the Hiway? I put my hazards on to let the other drivers know I'm in distress so they can steer clear. But when I pull over, I discover my tire is not flat. Of course, I can no longer drive this car so I call AAA and have it towed. Me, my girlfriend and three kids are stranded and had to take a cab back to the city at the price of $130 (the trains had stopped running) but I'm just thankful that it didn't happen when I was doing 65 on the hiway and instead feel very lucky that it started just as I had slowed to 40 to pull off the exit. WE ARE VERY LUCKY. This could have been fatal and I'm sure that I would have been blamed by VW for not paying heed after becoming so accustomed to the constant breakdowns that I had become impervious. I don't know how much this is going to cost in dollars but in inconvenience it is priceless. I will dump this lemon as soon as I can and I will never ever buy a Volkswagen. Good riddens to bad rubbish!!!
