I am the not so proud owner of a 2003 VW Passat that it falling apart! So, (after several other issues with this car), I headed out to my car one day and discovered a major water intrusion. The floor board behind my driver seat was puddled with water. Literally I must have scooped out over a gallon of water. I felt around for the source and found nothing. The following day I cleaned the car, soaking up the water, steam cleaning, etc. In the mean time I had already been in the process of writing a letter to VW regarding 'other issues' so when this took place I quickly sent a letter, pictures & additional documents to VW (both local dealer & corporate office) requesting that they respond within 14 days. 30 days later I received a call from a gal in their executative office stating to me that my car was no longer under warranty (of which I was told at time of sale I did not have) and while they were not able to do anything for me regarding my "unfortunate experience" they would however be willing to offer me a $1500 new vehicle voucher....what a joke! I expressed to them both in my letter and during this conversation that at this point I was literally scared to be driving this vehicle around with my two small children. The woman expressed her sympathy to me but more or less told me that there was nothing they were going to do. In the mean time that water damage to my vehicle has caused this vehicle to not only be considered a total loss but it is quite visable at this point.
The car is literally coming apart! Then yesterday I receive a letter regarding the newly added instructions for maintaining your sun roof drains along with some information on a lawsuit due to sun roof drains & leaks, etc, etc. Hummm what are the chances! So, as much as I am sure that I may never receive justice for the "unfortunate experiances" that I have had due to the faulty product I was sold by those at Volkswagen of America I will continue to move forward......In the mean time all I can say it do your homework before you buy (you'll be amazed at what you might find) and shame on those in charge at Volkswagen Group of America I DONT KNOW HOW YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!!!!! Signed, Another not so proud owner of a VW!

I noticed the last time I was having my car service that in interior rug & the roof of the car was wet and damaged but I couldn't find a where the water was coming in. When I asked the dealer about it, they claim 'they couldn't find where the water was coming in'. Now I find out that there's a pending Class Action suit regarding water damage to the car and I didn't receive any notification of this.
