problem #2

Nov 052019

Passat 1.8L V5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 126,760 miles

It began with a rattling noise coming from the engine bay. That noise developed over time to a point where the acceleration would make it worse, and then almost all power is lost while the engine is running;

Mechanics believe it is a manifold issue and with genuine parts and shipping could cost upwards of $8,000 AUD!

problem #1

Passat

  • Automatic transmission
  • 81,000 miles

one valve on the engine was stuck open..The VW dealership is a rip off, $600 later the problem was fixed...but they said it pretty much costs so much because of the labor, no real parts were used to fix the problem. Also, the lady at the VW dealership said this wasn't common, but seems to be a trend!!!! She actually admitted that the engines are worthless, especially after ALL The problems I have had in the last 6 months.
