Passat 1.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

My son had to go on a long trip. I put .5 quart of oil in the car to bring it up to the proper levels. He got about 100 miles away and the oil light came on. He checked the oil and it was where it should be. We thought it was a short since these cars are known for electrical problems. Another 70 miles later the car slowly came to a stop out in the muddle of nowhere. He had it towed to the nearest station and spent the night in a hotel. We have not determined what exactly the problem is yet.

Passat GLS 1.8L Turbo

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,240 miles

I just had the car serviced for the 80,000 miles service on July 1! Less than one month later, here I am having to wait nearly 5 days to get my car back. I was traveling! had to be towed! all this during the heat wave of over 100 degrees! and of course, the car is now out of warranty!

I have had the fuel line recall taken care of. Every recall has been handled! I am not only annoyed, I am pissed off.
