At 73k I had the check engine light came on and I'm told its 5000 tho repair. The oil pump bolt is the problem....why hasn't VW claimed responsibility for this

so my cam timing chain broke when i was driving this piece of crap and it happened when i took off to go around a corner and the car died on me. but i didn't find that out till the mechanic i took it to took apart the motor on top and saw that the chain was broken. he has had my car for a week now and cant seem to get the timing just right so i told him just to get it running and driving so i can baby it till 2012 income tax and then i getting rid of this piece of crap. i have had so many problems with this car since i got it and it has been in the shop every other week since i got it and now my mechanic said the oil pressure light is coming on and the motor was poorly taken care of and it had a crap load of sludge in it.
