Passat LX 2.0L

  • 145,000 miles

Engine hesitates and loses power. Really dangerous when starting to pull off, engine will stall and lose power. Can't seem to get above 5 mph then it will take off unexpectedly.

THIS CAR SUCKS!!! The latest problem, one of many....has been the fuel system. Every time I put fuel in my car, no matter what type of gas station or premium fuel, it won't start. Takes up to 20 minutes to start my car after pumping gas. Also, the car stalls at red lights....and the check engine light is now consistently staying on. The next thing I'm waiting for to happen is to lose all power while driving down the interstate or have the damn thing catch fire. I found out about a fuel system recall, but it is only for the model year previous to mine, although I'm having the same exact issues. I called VW directly, and they refuse to offer any assistance. I can not afford this! Just 6 months prior, I had to replace the entire air conditioning system ($1900)...at just 50,000 miles.

Passat 2.0t

  • Automatic transmission

I had to buy a brand new battery for this car 2 months ago.... $165.00. This has happened to me twice now.... I will be driving down the road, no battery light on, no light on at all. The car says everything is fine. Then I will slow down to turn and when I start to press the gas coming out of the turn the battery light will come on and the car with just stop..... I have to turn the car off and on like 15 different times to get it to even start again. This is with a brand new battery.......

WORST CAR EVER!!! ALL YOU DO IS SPEND MORE MONEY ON IT TRYING TO GET IT FIXED UP. My mechanic said that the best thing I can do with this car is to let it be someone else's problem....

all of these problems are not listed in order but all were increasingly annoying and a large inconvenience should not be happening.
