Broken seatbelt sensor causes airbag fault. I am not sure now if airbag will work. Online search indicates many people have same problem. Airbag fault should be covered by recall because seatbelts should not fail under normal use after 105000 miles.

I purchased a second hand vehicle on 1/11/10 from koeppel Volkswagen Inc and at the time of delivery our sales person tells us to bring it back because has mechanical problems that need to be fixed including passenger front seatbelt that I was not able to put on after he pulled last night. Today I called asking the manager of the dealer how is it possible to sell a car with safety defects and he stated that this is not true and if that's the case to bring it in for repair. How this car passed safety inspection.
