After having the airbag replaced at Suntrup Volkswagen in St.louis,Mo I started to receive an airbag malfunction light and the horn and other steering wheel controls failed to work. I returned to the dealer and they of course said that
the recalls they performed did not require them to remove the steering wheel so nothing they did would cause this.
I wonder how then did they inspect the clock spring for debris as stated in the recall notice with out removing the steering wheel or did they just say they did it and really did not? I will repair it this weekend and take a video of the procedure to see if they in fact did perform the inspection or if they fraudulently signed it off as completed and collected the money from VW ! Stay tuned for further details.

After Takata airbag recall repair my airbag light comes on and my steering wheel controls stopped working.
Dealer says they can "check it" for $80. Just. Wow
