problem #2

Passat SEL I5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,200 miles

Had to replace both front rotors and pads because of grooves in the rotors. Pads were @ 95% per the Dealer, but the grooves caused a shake in the steering wheel when the brakes were applied. Asked VW for assistance under premature failure, but no help was granted so I ate the bill.

Hoping the new rotors last more than 34k or 35k miles before they trash the new pads. Thanks VW!

Passat SEL Premium 2.4L, I5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,980 miles

I noticed that one rotor had a grove in it. I mentioned it to the dealer and they want to charge money for inspection fee. I told them Ill do that my self. Just odd how one rotor after 10000 miles could have that.
