Poorly engineered headlamp assembly made of brittle plastic parts. Low beam headlamps randomly go out, when hitting bumps etc. Bulbs do not make proper contact. Sometimes just one side, sometimes both. This is what happens when you start manafacturing cars in the US. You have to assemble it with cheap plastic parts so you can pay the over inflated labor costs, while still maintaining the price point. This car has been plagued with issues since day one. Worst vehicle I have ever owned. German engineering? What a joke, that standard died 50 years ago.

front driver lights & rear passenger exterior lights out
Lights had worked fine for about 6 mos. Started car to warm up since it was -8F out. When I went to leave the lights were not working. Same lights out as last time, but this time the extreme temperature was cold not heat. Dealership thinks I am goofy. Last time lights would start working when the car was cool. (Like in the morning after I dropped it off.) Just how am I supposed to drive this car with headlights and turn signals not working. I am leaving the car this time until they figure out the problem.

I was pulled over by an officer because of front headlight out, and it happened before I received the recall notice in the mail!
