The issue with my vehicle has been an ongoing thing since I purchased it it is now paid for even under warranty it was misdiagnosed the braking system pulsates and I was told that was normal because they had just change the brakes and then now the dashboard lights up like a christmas tree it tells me that the there's a few the steering wheel lights up the airbag lights up the road condition lights up and then I would turn the car off a pulsates when I'm breaking at 60 miles an hour or 70 miles an hour. I've taken the vehicle back to the dealership and as was there any recalls and the only recall was something I had to do nothing with the the vehicle issues they do not seem Volkswagen does not seem to find these issues that I'm reading in previous messages an issue but it's our safety so I'm very concerned about even purchasing another Volkswagen.

Terrible squeaking noise coming from brakes. Had the issue checked out by a dealer. Brake pads and rotors are fine. No issue with brakes other than the awful noise.

First off, the bread started giving me trouble a couple weeks after purchasing the vehicle. When I took the vehicle in to have it checked out VW of the woodlands exclaimed that there was no issue and that the brake pads had a few rocks in between them. As the weeks passed the issue gradually got worst and I could feel the brakes grind when I proceeded to come to a stop. Now the brakes are completely jacked up and I will have to pay out of pocket to have them repaired. My second problem is the electrical issue that I've encountered. This dates back to at least 3 weeks after buying the car. I reported the problem to them and have even taken the vehicle in to have it checked out, but yet again I was given an excuse. "your alternator needs to be changed!" I was told. I couldn't understand why the alternator was preparing to go out after only having the car for 5 months. But that was not the fixture of my problem. The dash board likes come on and goes off repeatedly iver time and I have been taking a picture each time it happens for my documentation. It's very unprofessional what goes on with these car dealerships and how they get over on people. This 2014 Volkswagen Passat is a bust and should be recalled.

Twice, on May 12 and on October 22, while in a parking lot and pulling into a vertical parking spot at very low speed, I tapped the accelerator, and suddenly the car rapidly sped up. I was unable to stop it with the brake pedal, and I hit a brick planter the first time it happened, and I hit the post holding up the front of a building the second time. The brake pedal on the Passat is approximately 3" wide and located only an inch or so from the accelerator. It is possible that I hit both pedals while trying to stop the vehicle, but that does not explain the sudden acceleration that caused the car to jump the curb and hit the planter and the building. Frightening situation. I wasn't injured the first time but was fairly well shaken up the second. The body shop said the damage to the vehicle was almost exactly the same each time. I took the car to T he VW dealer after the first accident, but they said there was nothing wrong.

Excess vibrations while braking on vehicle with 30K miles. Dealer claims that issue is in the breaking system, probably deformation of rotor causing unsafe and excess vibrations while breaking. The vibration is big enough to move the steering while breaking causing safety issues. This is not normal for a car with low mileage. Probably rotor design not good enough for road conditions at us.

The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Passat. While driving 35 mph, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to stop. As a result, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the front of another vehicle. The contact, who was the front passenger, sustained rib injuries, the driver sustained hand injuries, and the rear passenger side occupant sustained minor abrasions. All passengers required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, but was towed away from the crash scene. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000. The VIN was unavailable.
