I would like to know how I was sold this lemon. Everyone knew that this car was not in good condition but me and know I’m out of about 8,000 dollars on this car. The car has several recalls and I want at least some of my money back. Will never buy this type of car again.

engine lost power. turbocharger and oil pump destroyed
Engine lost power. Tried to drive to the dealer but black smoke begin pouring out. Had to get towed. Dealer reported failure of turbo charger and oil pump. Same thing happened on 2012 at 20,000 miles. This is a known VW defect.

The car stalled without notice after the car was put into reverse. Attempted to restart the car and the car would start and then stall again. Then attempted a 3rd time and the car would not start at all. It took about 30 minutes of the car sitting to get it to start again and not stall out. Took the car back to VW dealership on November 14, 2018. Service advisor called and stated that the technician could not duplicate the problem and the vehicle was not showing any fault codes. They did however state that they found an open circuit in the engine harness and advised that this should be changed out, but could not guarantee 100% that this would completely solve the issue. At my expense I had the repairs done. They removed and replassed harness. I picked up the vehicle on November 17th, 2018 and vehicle was operating correctly until February 2019 and the vehicle began to experience the same stalling issue.
