During a trip to the service department to have a door mechanism repaired I mentioned to the service manager that the car wasn't shifting properly. Had their sorry mechanics check the car and they couldn't find anything wrong.

A year later during the free oil change I was advised that a software update was required to fix shifting issues.

SO, how much "wear and tear" did my transmission sustain driving it like this for a year?
