I filled out all the paper work the night of 3/16/2018 and then drove the VW Passat home. I was out the next day driving around to get a feel of the Passat. The first thing I noticed was when I would leave from a stop light, the engine would stall and when I would give it more gas it would take off. I thought that's not normal that I know of for an engine to just not go but stall out every time I stop at a light or sign. The one that really got me was when I took the car in to report the problem and I was making a U-turn and it stalled out and put me across all 3 lanes of traffic when traffic was heading my way and then started to move slowly as I pushed the accelerator to the floor then took off (dangerous).
When the temperature is hot, it acts up even worse. My brother has a Chevrolet and said his was doing the same thing. He took it to his dealership and they told him it was a small crack in the Turbo injection and fixed the problem right away. Just listening to what my brother said tells me that that is very possibly the problem with this Passat.
Each time I have taken the Passat (6 times - they have taken it in 3 times, and 2 times that I left it there). The first time they took movie picture of the Passat on a lift and of the engine but said they could not find any problem with it of which you and anybody else that reads this would say (hey maybe I was mistaken and there is nothing wrong with the Passat). WRONG!
If anyone could tell me honestly what I should do to get this problem fixed I would lovingly appreciate it.
