Last summer my VW Polo, fresh out of the 5 year warranty and with only ~ 57000km, gave problems in the gearbox .
VW said it had worn bearings and did not assumed responsibility for the pieces . A budget of over € 1000 , I had to pay 750 euros because I had a 'discount' .
As I was several weeks without a car , I was forced to pay compensation for a problem that I judge should never have existed , and that the mark should have taken.
The car was not arranged at first and spent a week and it was back to the garage with exactly the same noise , but in this case arranged an overnight .
In my opinion as a consumer / client, several things are incorrect : the brand has not assumed responsibility for a problem that obviously has to do with defect / error in the production of the gearbox . Moreover , the policy of the brand is abusive minimum : only give budget is accepting open the gearbox and give no chance to reject the budget because you can not deliver the car mounting the gearbox .
Let that be a warning to others because the brand does not have the quality we think and customer care is a disgrace.
