Our 2010 Routan had the headlights fail over a period of several months. I replaced the selector switch on dashboard first. Still had situations where the lights would fail, the dealer in Burlington Township, NJ stated I had two headlight bulbs that were the problem, they supposedly replaced both. Headlights failed again.
Finally after extensive search on the Chrysler/Dodge forums I found out the solution was to replace the TIPM. Replaced same at the cost of $600.00 for the part and a total of $800.00 for entire replacement and the headlights have been working ever since. VW North America Customer Service was no help and basically it was a waste of time to reach out to them, even though they were going to see if the dealer would be willing to throw me a "bone" for their supposed fix. Again If you live in my area stay away from Burlington VW.

The bell dings, the dashboard lights up with every light possible, headlights flash, & speedometer goes crazy. Often the air conditioning shuts off, as well as the radio, then the clock will restart, so we know that we have completely lost all power. This will continue for at least the next 10 minutes. I'm worried that I will eventually loose control of the car!
