The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Routan. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start intermittently. While driving, the key fell out of the ignition switch and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who referred the contact to the local dealer. Brunswick Volkswagen (1420 industrial pkwy S, brunswick, oh 44212, (833) 269-4092) diagnosed that the win module and two keys were needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 190676488. The failure mileage was 140,000. The VIN was not available.

The contact owns a 2010 Volkswagen Routan. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road. After approximately one minute, the vehicle started normally. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the ignition module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred three times. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 91,500.
