Tiguan 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

Seems there's already been a Class Action suit about leaking Sunroofs, yet VW just kept producing cars with the same design flaw and never once was I warned by the Dealer I've gone to for the last ten years that the drains were a potential problem and need to cleaned more regularly than the Services I never missed - WITH SOME SPECIAL TOOL. My family's owned VWs since 1970. Guess this is last one.

Tiguan SE

  • Automatic transmission

The passenger side floorboard and right front headliner were drenched with water after a rain storm. The dealership diagnosed as the sunroof drain hose(s). This is obviously a serious design flaw reported by both customers and dealers. When the drain hoses are cracked, loose, broken or clogged they will leak in the interior of the car. VW refused reimbursement stating " the age of the vehicle and mileage". It's a 3 year old car with 63,000 miles!
