Just over a year before my first ignition coil problem, which they replaced. It was on the highway where this happened again. I'm very concerned about the fact that this problem has happened again...concerned about what the underlying cause of this could be.

To make matters worse, when I took my car to the VW dealer, and EXPLICITLY told them it was the same issue they repaired a year ago and to please check the engine coils, they called to tell me that the problem was MY AFTER MARKET FLOOR MAT PRESSING ON THE GAS. Being completely aware of the bias against women, I had my male partner call back to explain the issue (verbatim what I had told them initially). Saying that was new information, they then confirmed that is was an ignition coil issue. Wonderful they can't seem to process the same information provided to them by a woman.

Does it seem reasonable that I have to pay another deductible for them fixing the same issue under warranty??

I got my oil changed, and the day after, my car began sputtering when attempting to accelerate. I was trying to merge onto the highway when the problem first started--very dangerous when you have no power and cars are flying by. Coincidence with oil change? I don't know, but one mechanic says just replace one coil and consider replacing the spark plugs. Dealer says go ahead and replace all 4 coils since this is a common thing and they usually all go out.

While problem occurred outside of the warranty period, I would maintain that this was the result of a defective part not normal wear and tear--Have never experienced this problem in the past
