This problem actually started a long time ago but didn't notice it, but now it's escalated. The sunroof is leaking heavily into the car when there's a rain shower. I've researched from many others and after reading about the lawsuit from several years ago, I'm surprised that this issue still exists. I now find a flooded drivers' area when I get into the car during a storm. The headliner is very stained now. I'm in the process of taking it apart and seeing if I can fix it. There is a video on YouTube about how to fix it. Just don't know about messing around air bags (side bags). But after a previous complaint with the sun shield that coincidentally jammed up after the 40,000 mile checkup, I'm not taking this to VW for repairs. I've just paid this damn car off and I am going to hold onto it because I don't want to deal with payments for a vehicle anymore. There's no pride in anything built anymore, no pride at all. And for the record, no one at Emich's VW in Denver told me about having to clean out this area. I've looked it over and see no area where one can clean it. None of this makes any damn sense.
Update from May 29, 2015: Was able to fix this myself. There is a video on YouTube. Took a bungycord and cut the end off and found two of the four drain holes. Poked the bungycord down through them and unplugged.

The drains clogged suddenly and car had over 10 gallons of water on and under carpet, destroying headliner, floor carpet and numerous control modules.
