Tiguan SEL 2.0t

I’ve never before had a vehicle where the rear main engine seal was leaking at any mileage or age of vehicle. At 51k miles this is very disappointing, to say the least. The repair shop told me this is very common on that particular engine. The transmission has to be separated from the engine in order to replace the seal.
