Tiguan Wolfsburg 2.0t

Had a flashing check engine on cold start. Went to dealership to find out it was:

P0300 Random misfire

P0303 Cyl 3 misfir

P0219E Cyl 3 air-fuel ratio imbalance

Dealership told me that it was due to excessive carbon build-up and that they have to do a ''decarbonization'' of the valves and intake manifold (1200$CAD).

This is not a regular ''scheduled'' maintenance by the manufacturer and it is not covered by any warranty, even if the car is 2 years old with 43,000km. It is a total scam from Volkswagen. Be aware of this problem before buying.
