Earlier this spring my sunroof appeared to start leaking, especially during heavy rain. I then received a recall notice, and scheduled a service for July 11, 2020. The recall was taken care of, but due to the water that leaked in, my car now has an awful mold smell that has become intolerable. I had planned to purchase the car after the lease was up (6 more payments), but obviously now don't want to keep it, and am concerned that they are not going to except it back without charging for an issue I didn't create.

I have ZERO idea how much this is about to cost and I was told from the VW dealership that the water damage inside my vehicle is so extensive that they couldn’t finish getting all the part numbers together they would need today to contact my extended warranty company.. Took it in at 8 AM this morning (Friday) and was told it’ll be TUESDAY before they will have the list done of what all they need!!
So now I’m without a vehicle on top of worrying about how much it’s going to cost to fix an issue that shouldn’t be happening!! I also got the first available appointment they had (made my appointment TWO WEEKS AGO!) and I can’t even imagine how long it’s going to take to get the horrible mildew smell out of my vehicle.. I haven’t even had the vehicle but a couple months as I bought it back in either April or May so to know I’m having THIS BIG of in issue is super stressful..
