hard shifting I have a 2012 TDI with 21000 km . I have searched far and wide to find if there are any known issues with this model and found nothing. the problem with my TDI is that in stop and go traffic there is a lot of play in the drive train. At low rpm there is a clunking as though the engine mounts were worn. this happens on deceleration and acceleration .also the truck is rather hard when it down shifts into second and first. at times there is a lot of thumping that i feel though my seat while driving and I use to think it was potholes but I am convinced that its the transmission shifting cos I have gone back to check the potholes and there will be none .I have had more that 4 technicians from 4 different dealers drive the truck for over 5 days each and the all come back saying it normal for this truck. Is there anyone out there with this kind of problem . Another annoying thing about the truck is the lack of acceleration out of a right turn no matter the radius . this is not all the time but most of the time. I will push the gas all the way down gradually or fast and nothing happens until the wheels are straight and the truck takes off with a very rough jump. other time irrespective of the weather , the truck has very weak acceleration even on a straight line with a noticeable habitation around 2000rpm. in comperison to other similar trucks there is a noticeable deference in the amount of pedal travel required for everyday driving and passing, way to much .

Update from Feb 3, 2014: I am now attempting to diagnose my 2012 touareg tdi myself since vw dealers can't find anything. This off course is all visual not tools what so ever. i have noted some deference between mine and others. there is a good 5/8 travel in the gas paddle before the engine will respond, measured 5/8. while driving it also requires more paddle input than the other touaregs for passing or lane changes. overall the truck feels like it has less power than other hence poor acceleration .also noted that in second gear there is more play in the drivetrain when you let go the gas paddle and then apply it again like in stop and go traffic. top all this up with random hiccups . am I the only one with this issue or is there others. would replacing the gas paddle solve the problem.
