Touareg TDI LUX 3.0L

Is it normal for all 6 injectors to fail at the same time? Diagnostics shows electrical failure in the injectors. Plumes of white smoke billowed out the rear. I had to replace all 6 injectors at huge cost.

Car seems fine now.
