The vehicle was parked near a lamp post in a mall parking lot, I got in the car and started it as I went for my seat belts both airbags deployed knocking me unconscious, when I came to I felt pain on the left side of my face. It was burning. The airbags burnt my face so bad that my skin was hanging from the side of it, for a moment I thought I was hit by another car but, when the smoke cleared I realized that the airbags had deployed on their own. I was taken to the local hospital where I was treat and given a tetanus shot. The windshield was shattered by the airbags, I looked round the vehicle to see if I had any damage but, because I really thought I was hit.
I had obtained a lawyer a few weeks after the incident but, he didn't think I had a case, even though the insurance company and the state cleared me of any wrong doing. I was a dumb ass for not seeking another lawyer. The vehicle was back on the road in a few weeks and Volvo wanted me to take the vehicle to them for inspection of course the sensors and airbags were already replaced. I did have the vehicle in the garage for about a month yet Volvo would send someone to pick it up. My insurance paid for all the repairs. does anyone know whats the statue of limitation on a case like this???? I think Volvo owes me a big check for pain and suffering.......
