I commute approximately 30 miles to work. During my commute on Nov. 2, 2005 there was nothing out of the ordinary. All gauges reading within normal limits. I parked my car. Went inside my place of work. Within 7 (seven) minutes I was notified by a coworker that my car was on fire. The resulting engine fire totaled my 2001 S60 T5 Volvo. There was nothing left of the engine except the engine block sitting upon the transmission.

Sudden loss of power while leaving a parking lot. The speed dropped to below 20 mph. I was unable to drive above 20 mph. The car was towed to the dealer who subsequently replace the electronic throttle control at a cost of over $900.

When the vehicle was at idle it shook. The dealership cleaned the throttle, but the problem still existed. After many times of going to the dealer for repairs, the timing valves were found to be a problem in which they were fractured. Also, the electrical bulbs in the front and tail had failed. Scc
