My 2012 Volvo S60 downshifts hard at 30 mph. It does not do it every single time, but pretty regularly. It has even jerked several times in a row when down shifting. I have taken it to the dealer twice for this complaint, and they can't find anything wrong with it. Now that I have my new engine, it still does it. The last time it downshifted hard, my check engine light came on. It is now back in the shop---

I have had several auto shops look at my vehicle. When you are slowing down and vehicle goes below 30 mph, there is a hard obvious shift. I've never had a vehicle do this. Since they could not be sure of the problem, it has to date not been fixed. My local Volvo dealership closed a year ago and I would have to drive over an hour one way to the next closest Volvo dealership. Don't get me wrong for I love my car but I am not willing to drive that distance especially since my car is no longer under warranty. It's a shame that Volvo has done this to their customers. My main concern is that what is increasingly becoming more annoying may get worse with time. At that time, it may be time to unload it for another make and model.
