The contact owns a 1998 Volvo V70. The contact stated the rear seat belt became lodged and could not be used. The contact attempted to repair the failure himself but was unsuccessful. The manufacturer advised the vehicle warranty was expired and would not offer any further assistance. The seat belt remained lodged for over three months. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 139,000 and the current mileage was 143,000.

1998 Volvo V70A experienced problems with the drivers side shoulder harness. The shoulder harness was frayed. One would have to pull the seat belt to unlock and then pull it down which caused it to wear.
