problem #1

Apr 212008

V70 2.5 D Estate 2.5L Diesel

  • Manual transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Unfortunately we were in the process of selling car when the problem happened. Volvo dealer initially thought it was the timing belt tensioner (I always have this belt replaced BEFORE the recommended mileage) but now it seems that it could be the cylinder head or worse. We are selling to the Volvo distributer who says that the cost to THEM could be anywhere up to 6000 USD (imagine what the cost could be to me if we kept it at the labor charges of Volvo)....
