When I purchased my Volvo I noticed that there was a tear in the passenger backseat leather and raised bumped leather on the armrest and center seat. This was replaced by the dealership at no cost. However a few months later there was a new scratch in the center backseat leather. This is odd because no one ever uses the backseat. I am the only driver of my car and rarely even have a passenger in the front. The only thing I could think of is when the seats are folded down they must have scratched the seat. They have an automatic button you push from the trunk and they fold down extremely fast.
I showed this to Volvo and they basically said I was lying and that I must have caused the scratch. I explained to them that no one ever sits in the backseat and that nothing is ever put in the backseat. I even filled a complaint through corporate. They feel it is not a defect and that I must have caused the scratch. I still fell it was the seat being folded down.
