Rear seat overhead lighting is not a standard feature with this vehicle. What is standard is "interior mid level lighting". Who would know that this did not include rear seat overhead lighting? The only way to get lighting for the rear seat is to purchase the expensive "Advanced Package". This package includes six items, one of which is "Interior High Level Ilumination". This is defined as "rear seat reading lights are shaded to avoid causing glare to the driver". It seems that there should be a light fixture in place in order to shade it. It is unfortunate that Volvo does not provide rear seat lighting as a standard and that the dealer cannot or will not install this lighting after the sale.
