The car gave no indicators of the problem whatsoever (ex. no check engine light) until one day on a main road the car broke down pouring fuel all over the road itself. It put myself in danger as I could not get out of the vehicle safely due to oncoming traffic from both directions onto the vehicle. Even though there is a recall for the fuel line on this vehicle Volvo refused to acknowledge it was part of the recall, and wanted to charge a diagnostic fee to determine if it was because of the recall. A mechanic reattached the fuel line and the locking cap as well as reinforced them with tie wraps. Within 3 days the same problem reoccurred.

Very disappointed that the fuel pump would go on a four year old car. And more disappointed with the cost of replacing, which was a very labor intensive process.

The fuel pump broke in South Carolina while we were driving home to Canada from Florida. We were stuck there for 3 days until Volvo could fix it.

4 times now the car wouldn't start because a software glitch allowed the battery to drain.

The GPS only works maybe half time. I was lost in downtown Toronto and the GPS was taking me around in circles - had to ask directions at a gas station.

Volvo would not give me a courtesy car this year so major problems could be fixed. I'm a Canadian wintering in Florida.

There's more but that's enough for now.
