The contact owns a 2015 Volvo XC60. The contact stated that the front driver and passenger side wheel hubs failed. The contact heard a grinding, thumping, and clucking noise while turning left or right when driving in local traffic. The vehicle and the front drivers side was taken to an independent mechanic who found that the front wheel hubs were separated. The vehicle was taken to parkway Volvo (5920 market street, wilmington, nc 29405, (910)-392-4888) and the front passenger side wheel hub was repaired with hub service kit part number: 31360096. The contact stated that the service kit contained a hub plate and screws. The manufacturer provided a technical service bulletin for the wheel hub failure (tsb number: TJ25329). The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 52,000.
